Part of my Overcoming Story was learning there were times we needed to dig deeper, and deal with the deeper issues that we find. Wendi and I got to the root of the problem which is not the food. It is actually the "WHY" behind what you eat
Overeating is a disorder and anything like that, is going to be a journey.
However, I watched the commercials and ads for over a year before I finally reached out.
It was sheer desperation. I was in this deep dark depression, and I could see it happening, but I couldn't stop it. Living in pain for periods of time makes you nuts. Living in pain affects your mood and how you think even.
I was also angry at myself, and angry at the world. But I had to choose my health and myself over my family. As women, we are taught to take care of everyone else first.
When I started, I wasn't shoved into a cookie cutter program, I felt like it was Cathy's program. Wendi and I peeled back the onion layers, and I rose up each time. That helped to alleviate the fear, but also led to my success.
